The 1610 (1600×1000mm) steps up to a 63"×39" work area for operations cutting oversized panels, wide-format sign stock, or running high-volume production where material utilization matters. Servo-driven for higher positioning accuracy and repeatability across long production runs.

What CO2 Laser Systems Cut and Engrave

CO₂ laser energy at 10,600nm is absorbed by organic and non-metallic materials. All three EvermarkUSA CO₂ system configurations cut and engrave the following material classes at the wattage specified per system.

  • Two-color phenolic and acrylic laminateThe production material for industrial nameplates, legend plates, and panel identification. CO₂ removes the cap layer to reveal the contrasting core — the standard process for engraved electrical identification to UL 508A §49.6.
  • Cast and extruded acrylicFlame-polished cut edges on cast acrylic. The primary material for sign fabrication. Cutting depth from 1/16" to 1/2" depending on system wattage.
  • MDF and plywoodSheet goods from 1/4" to 3/4" at production wattage. Cabinet components, sign blanks, and display fixtures.
  • HardwoodEngraving and cutting for custom wood products, signage, and decorative fabrication.

Surface Engrave (Not Cut)

  • Anodized aluminumCO₂ ablates the anodized layer to produce permanent white-on-black marks. Used for asset tags, equipment ID plates, and rack labels.
  • Powder-coated and painted steelSurface ablation reveals base metal for permanent identification on coated equipment.
  • Glass and ceramic tileSurface etching for architectural signage and decorative applications.

Metal cutting and deep metal marking requires a fiber laser system.
